Jets Captain Andrew Ladd scored his 100th career goal and the game winner against his former team. In 2004 the Hurricanes exchanged draft picks with the Columbus Blue Jackets so they could pick up Ladd, 4th overall, but in 2008 ended up trading Ladd to Chicago at the trade deadline for Tuomo Ruutu.
Since that trade Ladd has 171 points, and a Stanley Cup ring with Chicago and Ruutu has 167 points. Figure was Ladd pumped playing against his former team, you bet, look at his smile on the winning goal!
Chris Mason got the start in goal for the Jet's, Mason was solid for the Jets considering he has not started in goal in a month due to a groin injury and then Ondrej Pavelec stellar play, good to see Mason get the win and this will push Pavelec to have an outstanding game Saturday against the Boston Bruins.
